Hardly a recipe at all really but a fantastic snack with a cold beer or a glass of wine.
You can make this with almonds just as easily.
All you need is 200g of cashew nuts or almonds, 50g of butter, cayenne pepper and salt to taste.
Melt the butter in a frying pan, coat the nuts with the butter and fry them gently until they’re lightly browned, stirring from time to time so they don’t catch and burn.
Take them off the heat, drain them and blot lightly with a little kitchen paper.
Toss in cayenne and salt, to taste. Allow to cool enough for you to be able to pick them up and then scoff the lot.
My absolute favourite nuts, definitely going to make these. Thank you, Linda!
Great! I’m really glad you like them, although you may have to do a few extra zumba classes to account for all the calories …
Lovely. I used some in a Kung Po at the weekend. A good thing I didn’t see this or it would have a kung or a po.
Thanks, sensei. Are you posting the Kung Po? Sounds good.
I will be but, it is down the list. I have been distracted by life of late and not been in the mood for writing. Business pressure really can suck the creativity out of one.
Ain’t that the truth. Looking forward to it when you’re back in your cooking harness.
